Synopsis
A troupe of players tell the story of Pippin, son of Charlemagne, a young prince who is searching for his place in the world. Pippin undergoes a series of fantastical episodes: warring with the Visigoths, deposing his father, becoming a tyrant, fleeing to the countryside, falling in love, and finally, facing the inevitable end of his story in the Grand Finale.
Pippin contains a masterful score by Stephen Schwartz, with upbeat pop-inspired numbers, in an innovative new staging.
